Product Details

| Belkin ADC to DVI Adaptor The Belkin ADC to DVI Adapter is made specifically for the Power Macintosh G4 and G5 user who wishes to connect a Digital Visual Interface (DVI) monitor to a computer with an Apple Display Connector (ADC) port. The Power Macintosh G4 Cube includes a graphics card that no longer offers the DVI connector that the older Power Macintosh G4 units provided, instead offering only the Apple Display Connector. As a result, the older style monitors that use the graphics card in the previous versions of the Power Macintosh G4 computer, which included the DVI connector, can no longer connect to the older versions of the Mac G4 and G4 Cube. NOTE: Not compatible with DVI-VGA adapters. Uses DVI-D connector that does not have the necessary analog connections. Make sure your monitor uses this type of DVI connection: | | | Attach any DVI display to an Apple Display Connector | | Older Apple monitors, like the original Cinema Display or the 15" graphite Apple Studio Display, are equipped with industry-standard DVI Connectors. The same is true for many flat-panel displays in the PC market. | | Compatibility: | | DVI Adaptor is compatible with all Power Macintosh G4 and the G5's that come with an ADC graphics card. DVI Adaptor makes ADC-compatible displays out of virtually all third-party flat panel displays with a 24-pin DVI-D connector, the Apple Cinema Display (22-inch LCD - #M7478) and the Apple Studio Display (15-inch LCD - #M7612). All Mac-specific features of the supported DVI monitors are available with DVI Adaptor. A reverse adapter called the DVIator, is available for connecting ADC monitors to DVI graphics cards. | | Specifications and appearance are given as guidelines and may change without notice.
