The iStorage Pro T8 SAS Expander JBOD System (designed and manufactured by CiDesign) comes equipped with high performance SAS Expander Technology. It is simply a single cable that connects from the enclosure to a MiniSAS host controller RAID card , allowing you to Daisy-chain to Multiple SAS Expander JBOD Boxes. This efficient interface simplifies setup and provides cost-effectiveness without compromising performance.
The iStorage Pro T8 SAS Expander JBOD System is designed to be used in editing with Apple Final Cut Pro and Adobe Premiere Pro CS4 video editing software, and is compatible with video capture cards from AJA, Blackmagic Design, Bluefiss444 and Matrox. Designed for use with a PCIe RAID controller, the iStorage Pro T8 can easily be configured as a RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10 or JBOD system, capable of providing performance, fault-tolerance and super expansion (up to 80 disk drives with a single RAID controller and a single cable between SAS expander boxes).
